Friendly Neighbourhood Caps

I mean, these are just cool. It’s Spider-Man on a bottle cap. I don’t think they really need much more of a sales pitch than that.

These seem to have come out around 2019, at the same time as Far From Home, which explains why one of them has Spider-Man in that black suit. I’m assuming they were part of some sort of promotion around the film, which means loads of people probably opened these, drank whatever was underneath them and chucked the cap straight in the bin.

I’ve managed to get three of them so far. I’m not actually sure how many there are in total, which is now slightly annoying because obviously I need to find out. They’re all properly printed with different Spider-Man artwork too, rather than just having a tiny Marvel logo stuck in the corner.

I think that’s what I like about bottle caps like these. They’re basically accidental collectibles. Nobody is buying the drink because they desperately want the bit of metal on top, apart from us, but years later you find one and suddenly it’s this tiny piece of a film release that happened years ago.
